I have a "tick" coming from bottom end, at the rear of the sump, it's very subtle at idle but speeds up and becomes more noticeable as the revs increase. Is definitely a tick and not a knock. Any ideas?

a youtube link would be helpful.

A bottom end noise is not funny.

I had a similiar problem, it's bearing worn. Because it's at early stage so it sounded not like knocking but more like ticking. Changed all main and conrod bearing solved the problem.

Yeah that's why we call it a "tickie 6". Hence the name, tick-ford.

Nah jks, you should check and inspect under the pistons, a bearing may have warped or spun or anything else. If it was top end, I would say lack of oil, but if it's bottom, better to visually inspect if you can.

Goodluck

Btw, any updates to your problem? I'm curious, cos I have an AU1XR in my EL at the moment.
