Hello,
If you are changing the stereo, buy an adapter rather than cutting the wires. There are 4 sets of speaker wires, The speaker wires are in pairs, orange, grey, pink and blue according to my service manual. Now there is also power, earth, ignition / accessories, parking lights and power aerial.

Hello,
You dont have Pos. and Neg. to a speaker. It is an AC signal. Normally the trace is on the ground. In older systems, the speaker ground was the same as the Neg. or earth. To get more power, they reverse the signal from the other wire. If you put a battery to the speaker ( with everything else disconnected ) the + lead is right when the cone moves out. Be careful with what you do, as electronic stuff is not forgiving. A small mistake can ruin a new stereo.

As for the connections to the front doors they are as follows ... Left Front: Orange/Green trace +ve Orange/Black trace -ve Right Front: Grey/Green trace +ve Grey/Black trace -ve
