I've just purchased a stock standard BA XR8 sedan, I'm wanting to put an aftermarket exhaust on it to give it a nice v8 rumble. I don't want anything too over the top and loud, I owned a BA XR6 ute before this, and after a bit of research I ended up putting a 2 1/2" redback cat-back system on it and was very happy with the sound, is a 2 1/2" big enough for the V8? or would a 3" be better? Any feedback on brand suggestions or experience with any specific style (ie custom made) would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone

If you go for a 3" system you might get a bit of drone. I have a 3" system on my AU V8 ute and it tends to drone a bit so I'd recommend a twin 2.5" system.
