Our BF XR8 has some FG bits in it.
Got these photos from our mechanic.
The tailshaft is being repaired and reinforced.
The repairer said this is not the first FG tail shaft and that his seen a few like ours but our tail shaft has not been the worst. Apparently there is a drain hole and sometimes it traps moisture.
It snapped just as my other half were turning on to Springvale Rd with his kids in the car (everyone is ok).
It's going to cost $550-$650 just for the repair.
