Hi ,
Help or advice , I have a 97le auto that slips when take off and when you take your foot off the accelerator then put it back on , but changes up the gears ok . I have pulled the box out to do the front seal , so I thought I would address the problem. I check the ohms on the solenoids and all the black ones where 3 ohms but the large silver one was zero . Would a faulty solenoid cause the box to slip or is there another problem . I was hoping someone has had the same problem and hope it is a cheap and easy fix , otherwise I will attempt a rebuild by my self .
Any help will be appreciated.

I have rang a few gearbox shops to ask the question but I'm getting different answers, so I'm a bit confused on what it is . I've been told it's the solenoid than I've been told it's the clutches so I don't know what to believe.

The fluid level was full plus I did a service on it , new oil and filter and I made sure it was full.

Bit for a silly question but I was checking the dipstick in the dipstick tube and it doesn't come out of the bottom is that correct .
