Hi There

I just recently bought a AU 1999 XLS Manual UTE It Will not start at all.

ive replaced every relay every fuse Put new battery terminal leads Earth leads to Motor an Chassis
ive replace BEM ECU, rebuilt starter motor an alternator,
Its also not immoblised i bought a J3 chip to bypass it my power windows dont work also.

I turn the key to crank i get a error light on dash cluster That looks like this symbol ! in a a circle. One of the relays in the fuse panel underdash pulls in and out but motor doesnt crank at all ive gone throught the whole starting wiring to check for a broken wire. fuel pump doesnt prime.
I got the ute to start once by bridging starter. But now just cranks over when bridge starter.

In need of help badly im pulling my hair out Please help

sounds like it is immobilized -

does interior light work
check that correct BEM is fitted -after june -99 was smartshield (post pic of your key) requires 2 keys and programming with ford scan tool if smartshield.........
does chip do what it should -

has ignition switch fallen apart at rear of switch
check fuses in under bonnet fuse box
after market alarm ?
power at ignition coil ?
check connections into rear of inside fuse box
are all connection on at battery -
battery voltage ?
check connections under air filter

I have a J3 chip with turns immobiliser off interior light works a** ment to power windows dont work
Ignition switch came out but i put it back in the fuel pump is priming i check it again i had it apart didnt plug it back in sorry,

plug under the air cleaner in fine cleaned it anyway new ECU an BEM,

Its go the right voltage everywhere i just dont no where to go from here

which key is same as your key see attached - note key ring slot
have you scanned for fault codes - you may need to clear codes crank over for awhile and rescan for codes

does fuel pump prime when ignition is turned on to reds ?
have you checked for spark and injector pulse when starter is bridged ?
check connection on to crank sensor
starter may not work due to immobiliser fault or other fault ???
check starter relay 30=positive power - 86=positive power when in crank position 85=earth from ECU (if immobiliser is working) - 87 feeds solenoid -bridge 30 and 87 should crank starter - (85 & 86 can be opposite way sometimes)


check grey/yellow wire at window switch has power with ignition turned on -
if not
check window relay (R4 white -to left of flasher unit) has 2 power supplies - and gets an earth when ignition is turned on -other terminal is circuit to window switch -bridge circuits 30 & 87 marked on relay and recheck for power at switch
