Q1
when setting the base timing what does the timing mark on the timing cover represent, is it tdc or 10 degrees btdc?

Q2
what is the difference between an xr6 block and a stock gli block?
(spun a bearing in my xr6 engine and I have a recon stock ef gli engine as a spare.)

A) Represents TDC but better to pull No1 Plug and double check to ensure that the harmonic balancer hasn't moved slightly.

A) Blocks are exactly the same except for the Hybrid block. No difference between XR6 and GLi bottom ends.
