hi all,
after many moments of sitting down, daydreaming and pondering about what to do in life, i decided to make a new mod for my car. i want to add an interior light dimmer (or possibly a separate dimmer too for the interior 48led dome light which can be too bright at times, and fit it next to the dome light cover, like a scrolling thingy). and i want to add a interior light complete kill switch too. the button that turns off all interior lights, even when your door is open, etc etc. complete off all lights, and even turn off dash lights too as further option like a double switch. am i pushing it or are such things possible? if so, how? could anyone give any tips/ideas? i have also made the annoying swinging doors fix mod for EF / EL 's at one time.. |

Hello,
Why not swap the light for one out of a Jap Car. They always have a switch on them, and if you get the feed ( near the A pillar I assume ) put a neat ( nice tidy looking unit ) dimmer in the dash. Some older Mazda's had a nice Dash light dimmer, rotary action with a Neoprene knob. You may have to use electronic means though so experiment before you start to drill holes. The easiest way would be use a resistor and bypass it for bright with a switch.

Hello,
I was thinking about what you want to do. For about $8 you can buy a remote LED dimmer from China. The unit is the size of a fat Cigarette packet and has a remote. It will let you Dim the light, and turn it on or off. You can stick the remote on the dash or console lid. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wireless-LED ... 2c9a1bce4e I have added a link.
