Well i changed the maf sensor and tried another throttle body, still no change, when i rev the car the butterfly only opens about half way and you cant even push it any more than that, but when the engine is off and the key turned on you can get full movement of the butterfly wherever you put the accelerator butterfly will follow,so something is telling it to stop while running.

is it displaying what gear its in correctly? b series have a rev limiter in park and neutral.
is it selecting gears properly? When in "Limp Home Mode" the ECU shift locks the auto.

It goes through the gears fine,if it were in limp home mode there would be a light on the dash showing up and also the gears would show a flashing 0 ,in regards checking codes there is nothing showing a code on the dash.i would love to get a code reader but all that i have looked at do not cover the ba
thanks for the input Brian |

You will need to get the codes checked.
Do you know anyone with an Xcal X3 Flash tuner? Any decent Auto Elec or Mechanical Workshop should be able to pull the codes for you for reasonable price. Engine revs in neutral/Park are restricted to lower revs, so the ECU may be reading that. Could also be as Ted has said, Accelerator Pedal. |
