Crankshaft machine cost $400 alone
water temp sensor and spark plugs $400
Base quote for the other stuff was 1900

did i get ripped? Halp i have to go pick this up soon!

final qoute of $2700 for

-Machining the crankshaft
-bearing kit including big end bearings
-piston rings
-coolant temprature sensor
-spark plugs
-timing cover case gaskit kit
-head gaskit
-all fluids ect

The head got rebuilt last year so it was untouched

Did i pay too much or is this pretty much the going rate for a bottom end?

$400.00 for a temp sensor and 6 spark plugs............. , you got ripped bad.

Coolant sensor for AU - genuine Ford $66.95 new on Ebay with free delivery.

Bosch std plugs $28.98 for 6 at Supercheap.
NGK Iridium $23.16 ea. ($139.00 for 6)

Total $95.93 to $205.90. And they are at retail prices as well, no trade prices.

Ripped between $300 and $200 just on the sensor and spark plugs.

Post up prices for the rings, bearing etc.

did they bore / hone the block?
new pistons or re-use the old ones?
new timing chain, guides, tensioner?
oil pump

if not, i wouldnt consider it a full bottom end rebuild...
