I was told that only factory replacements will work properly..
All i did was go through my coils on the car while it was running to see if any were faulty... Aftermarket coil are good and cheap if you only want to putt around but if you want to put your foot down then its best t get factory replacements. |

I took the engine cover off.
started the car and while its was running unpluged and repluged each coil starting from the front of the engine until i got to the one that didnt make a differance to how it idled wen i unpluged it. its probly not the best way to do it but it worked for me... |

At 60,000 Kms I doubt it would be dirty throttle body unless you had some bad fuel. Even if you had some bad fuel, your fuel filter should have caught it so probably just replace that and check the clarity of the fuel which comes out of the tank side. If there's a lot of sediment or murk/ water then you may need a tank drain. If the fuel is clean just run an injector cleaner such as Nulon. With such low Kms not likely to be dirty throttle body but I guess a possibility. Start with the simplest things before you start pulling things apart, often the best option. Take care

With the magnetic coil post there. Each spark plug has it's own magnetic coil under the engine cover. If you get in a dark area or shed, get someone to start the car and put in drive (for an auto) and put the foot firm on the brake while accelerating (so the engine is under load), then another person can see if there is any sparking out from the could to the surrounding metal. If you see sparking out from the coil it needs to be replaced. It is really best to just do all six but you can just change them individually. Hope this helps
