Also found ONLY genuine thermostats are any use, aftermarket ones tend Not to be much good

Not sure Have been out of the repair business for a while check with your local Blue oval parts distributor Whatever the price for this item it is well worth it as I have had to replace too many aftermarket ones and my repair insurance was getting tired of paying to fix blown head gaskets undar my workshop warranty

thats the next port of call... i think the cat may well be stuffed as well. the oxy sensor went in yesterday. smoother power, more of it , and consumption has dropped about 10% so far (only 200 kms so far, but still above half a tank, looking good, about 500 out of a city tank im guessing) im going to get myself a new hiflow cat, pacey 4480's (anyone put these on the au vct yet?) and redback 2½ exhaust, and some sort of pod setup with the madrel intake im getting, along with the tickford snorkel. setting me back a total of just over 1300 thats still a month or two away though :'( as for the exhaust, i still have the burn mark on my leg. i accidentaly touched the tip of teh exhaust and it sillzed the f**k out of me. first car ive ever seen that happen on. finally, ecu wise, any easy way of testing it? i really think its fine, but you guys have instilled doubt in my mind! :S

I have a Ford EF
Issue is with the iddle not dropping back to 800 rpm or so when coasting. It stays at a minimum of around 1,100 and will only drop below that if I come to a stop where it stays at higher revs for a few seconds before then dropping back. Any thoughts? Thanks |
