Hello,

The light is coming on in the GF's Car. I had a quick look, and cant see any switch. Tried search, and looking on E Bay for one. Is it inside the door or where ?

Hi,
Is coming on or isn't coming on?
has it ever come on?

I think the switch is built into the door lock electrics.

It hasn't been put into black out mode with doors opening has it?
this can be done by holding the light switch on the ICC for 10 seconds or so, light flashes to confirm changes.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, it is / was coming on while driving. I took the globe out, not my Car but I dont think it says which door ( it thinks ) is open. I was expecting a switch in the door jam, how things change.

scan tool capable of reading PID's is best option as it will allow you to see which circuit is on (some auto elect. or ford)
switch is part of door lock actuator -

refit globe and when light is "staying" on disconnect connection at "B" pillars for rear door actuator & check if still on -
remove front door trim & disconnect door actuator & check if still on -
allow time for light to switch off when testing -
you also may have wiring that is shorting out causing light to come on -
is this a sedan or wagon ? - wagon had problem with tail gate switch -
do you have after market alarm, possible boot or bonnet switch fault ....

Hello,

It is an XR6 sedan, no extra stuff. I did some work on it today and refitted the Globe. All good so far.

Thanks for the reply.
