Hi Guys.
This is my first post so I hope I have put it the right place. I have joined this Forum for the knowledge and experience of the members because... I am in the research process of doing some major upgrades to my ute. So bear with me (no haters please).
This is where I am up to on planning with the project.
-6BT ISB 5.9L ISB 6Cyl Cummins Engine
-Still finding a gearbox for it (I would prefer a Manual)
-Single Dual Wheel Axle
-5inch Stacks
-Dual Snorkels (prefer to have them in front of the cab on the sides might need to mount them behind the cab, single filter box)
-Dual Intercoolers (one each side of the engine in series or parallel, heat shielded with two small bonnet scoops) mainly because the ute will have a 5 poster bulbar (on its way)and massive radiator
-The bonnet will be custom made so it has a larger bulge in it with two small scoop for the intercoolers
-RTV front suspension (might need something else to hold it high) I still want a low ute though
-Trying to chase down a BA shell (behind driver's seat on) for a demo/template
-I want to have the original XR cluster if I can
-The BCM will be moved to another location to allow Gauges in it's place
-Still figuring out the emission control side, so if you guys know about them for Queensland Regulations please let me know
-The radiator might be a issue so it might have to be mounted under the tray (that's part of the reason I wont the intercoolers under the bonnet otherwise 1 large might fit in front of the engine)
-4 Batteries in a false floor under the tray (1-Fridge,1-Sound System,2-Engine)

I know you guys probs don't like the idea but if you have any advise or ideas please let me know.

Hi 1Tonner,

The 6BT is a tall motor and I suspect you may have clearance issues under the bonnet.
Also I'm not sure if it will meet the emission regs for a post 2000 model car.

See ya

Yeah the bonnet will be custom made, I'm thinking the design at this stage will be.... A BOSS bonnet with the Bulge being higher and two small scoops for the ICs one each side of the engine as I don't think there will be enough room in the front as I will have a 5 poster bulbar plus the radiator might need to be mounted under the tray. With the emission controls the ISB 5.9 should be allowed but the standard 5.9 6BT props won't be allowed but still researching the standard I need, but I know some good platers that will plate it for me and one is going to build the mounting plates of the engine and gearbox for me.
