I'm installing a B&M shifter and the instructions say to simply hack of the other one and use the one supplied, that's the very last option!

there is nothing in any workshop manual ive found about how to do it and the damn thing seems pretty solid, is there a locking tab or something i need to remove first (if there is then i cant find it!)

i would post up a pic of what i mean but photobucket seems to be throwing a tantrum, but it the one that connects to the side of the gearbox that the shift cable connects to.

If you want to remove the selector arm, drop the pan and valvebody and it is held on by a 7/8 nut internally.

Replace the selector seal and kickdown shaft o-ring while you have it out. Saves doing it all again at a later date when they leak.
