Hey guys
I'm just about to put my spare el engine into my car I need to put a head back on the engine before i put it in. I've got a au xr head to put back on My question is, where does the cam gear need to be set to take the au head, cam and rockers? This engine is pre hybrid so still runs the normal timing marks. Any help would be great |

If using e series cam gear, set it up the same as e series

It will be running au cam gear as you cant put e series into a series head.
I know I have to use the au cam gear aswell, but want to make sure of where it has to be set |

Attachment: You can use e series cam gear. Why do you think adjustable camgears are marketed as ea-au. Just use the corresponding bolt. But if you are using the au one, then it has a little dot near the teeth. Use that dot as the e series timing mark. The dot is marked in white on that pic
