Thanks

Enzed or Similar should be able to replace the split section of hose for you

Be careful with enzed, I had the same problem with my EB, had enzed make a hose up but it made the pump whine, I think one of the fittings had the wrong size i.d. Only worked that out after replacing the pump to find it still whined like my ex! Repco found me their last kelpro replacement hose at the carringbah store (I'm also from Newy area) and that finally fixed it.

Pump Whine with the C2 pumps is normal - its not the hose.

its often air in the pump, but its a known condition. Sometimes it will stop, and sometimes it wont.

Don't think he has a whine, more likely leaking fitting.
Mine was definitely the hose. I changed it because of the fitting leaking, then, because of the whine, had a new pump put on, still whined! Bought another pump from the states (much cheaper), changed it myself, still whined! Finally found the OE type kelpro replacement hose......all fixed!

I had the house repaired on my red EB Xr8 by Pirtek in Laverton North, no pump whine issues. It's been running fine for a couple of years now. It also pays to use the correct fluid in them, ie NOT Dexron 3!.

Cheers

ROFL.... that's what happens when you use spell check & don't read over it afterwards....

/facepalm.

The Eb isn't towing anything sadly, it's in storage atm. Besides, my caravan that's in my found yard of my house, isn't currently fit for the road anyway.

Cheers

This type of hose is for sale on ebay I noticed the other day.
I found that generally the hose is fine. Its the nut on the power steering pump side that generally gives. New ones are still avail from ford. Old one can be removed with a puller or a dremel if you are careful :)
