Hey guys, thanks in advance for the help.
Getting some pretty crazy delayed response into reverse and first in this NC II Fairlane Ghia, checked the dipstick and she's dark brown and smells terrible. Figured I'd flush it, especially with Repco's 25% off at every store this Sunday. I just need to know what fluid I should be using for this auto. I've heard Penrite 95LE but just want to be certain. Also if anyone's done it before, a quick run through the procedure would be great, i.e. which radiator line I should be draining from and the capacity of this tranny. Cheers Jeremy |

You need to use TQ95, BTR's are fussy with oil. Castrol Transmax TQ95.
Use a cheaper oil for the flush and good stuff when you fill her up. You will need around 20lts for the flush. |

I assume it's the same pan shape as EA/EB/ED? http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... mendations Also, to flush, do I just leave the pan off and keep pouring clean fluid through? Or do I do it through one of the hoses to the radiator? A super quick outline of the steps to do this would be amazingly handy. Finally, I've read in a few places that flushing when there's already noticeable issues (like my delayed response) can do more harm than good. Is this true? |
