hi everyone

replaced the tie rod ends in a 1994 fairmont and while they are better now, the steering wheel still wobbles when on rough roads a few mm left and right what would cause that.

1. theres now no play in the tie rod ends and screwed the ends in the same number of turns that it took to get old ones off.

2. when wobbling the steering wheel just sitting there you can hear a clunk seems towards the top column uni joint in engine bay, bottom one on intermediate shaft has had pin welded.

3. when grabbing the intermediate shaft the top uni joint that the shaft connects to which is ontop of the steering coloumn in the engine bay seems to have some play.

4. still needs a alignment but wouldnt be all

5. would a el steering column fit a ef model and a ef intermediate shaft.

6. can top uni joint on steering column be taken off steering column without taking steering column out.

any answers would be appreciated

thanks
