Hey how yas goin, sorry i posted this in wrong section before.
Any way I was thinking about getting some 20" mags i seen for sale for my 1999 fairmont ghia.
Just wanted to know would i be ok to put 20s on it with the stock suspension? Or will i have to change something to the car ?
Just hate the look of the 16" stock rims on it atm they look pretty ugly.
Would post pics but cant figgure out how to do it using my phone

As long as you like really hard ride, and lots of road noise, and REALLY expensive replacement tyres, no problem

This may vary from state to state, legally you can't go over 2" rim size as to what the car comes out with. Aka 16" rims factory equals 18" rims without a permit. Anything over that requires a permit.

Actually he can go 20's, can legally go 2" over the largest tyre diameter offered on the model range, TE50 S3 had 18's

In VIC you can legally use any size wheel/tyre combo as long as it is within 15mm (iirc) of original rolling diameter.

Pretty sure any state complying with the NCOP use the same rule.
