I have a failed indicator/flasher relay problem which is inside the instrument cluster and apparently not user serviceable. Looking around on Gumtree and Ebay I see a number of available from wrecks. Can I use any cluster from any BA Falcon XT or Fairmont to replace my cluster. What is the compatibility?

Yes IIRC but your best off getting one out of a BA fairmont or any BA that had duelzone a/c. Ba Xt's came with a low series cluster which displayed the trip info on the left LCD in the cluster. The fairmont ghia's came with a Hi-series cluster which showed doors open in the LH lcd as the trip info was displayed on the ICC.

To tell the difference between the clusters out of the car the low series had the buttons for dash light brightness and trip buttons on the right.

The hi-series had 2 buttons for lights a light + and a light-

Hope this helps

Rob
