Normally to shift gears on my zf 6sp 07' fairlane, I would depress the shift button and move from P to R or D, as usual.
The button in question is the location on the shifter itself which prevents accidental shifting during operation. That button has gotten... loose - allowing the shifter to move from D to N with a slight push. There is a slight obstruction of the release button's functionality but not much. Anyone tried to 'improve' this resistance? Has an edge been smoothed where the release 'lock and unlocks', or has the 'locked piece' moved its position within the shifter? Or would a part/shifter have to be replaced? |
