Hey Ya'll i have a 2002 ba xr6 turbo and i have some problems! our local ford dealership knows jack s**t. Nothing shows up on diagnostics and it is bothering me. When the motor gets to around 3000-4000rpm it shudders and doesn't seem to be getting full power and then it will come good and then start to shudder again. As i said our local ford mob are dumb wits i hope someone here can help me.
Cheers Blakeyaa :D

Have you checked your fuel system??? Sounds like it could be that or try your spark, check the coils to see if they are burnt out at all

If its after you have given it a bootfull and then backed off it might be valve springs.

Other thing to check is all the bolts on the turbo and manifold arent loose. Seems to be an all too common problem.

Yea check the tension in the inlet manifold and exhaust manifold as ford is susposed to retension them every service but not many ppl do it. That could explain it. And if you want to get all proper i think they should be 45N from memory but you dont need to do them up to that just do them up tight. Have a go at that and let us know how it goes
