Basically if i plug my phone or gps into my cugarette lighter socket with a proper adapter, it doesn't charge fast enough.
Essentially if i leave it plugged in, the battery will drain, just at a slower rate than normal. Is there any way to make it so it has enough power to actually charge things normally and keep them charged whilst they are being used? This is in an NA Fairlane. TIA |

It gets 12v and it is on a 15amp fuse.
It will be the charger that is suppling the charge, ie 5v at probably 1amp (look on the side of your charger). If you stick more than the recommended amperage/voltage into the charging of the phone you will stuff the battery on your phone or worse. |

If you want a fast charger you need at least 2.1Amps output... Or check your 240V charger that came with your phone and make sure you car charger is the same if not bigger amperage than your original one...
Cheers, Tim

Hello,
Do you use the lighter as a lighter ? The heat can cause a bad connection with the pin on the end of the plug. After it has been in use for a while, feel the Pin on the end of the plug. Is it hot ? It shouldn't be. If so a new socket may help, many Car accessories don't really live up to their claims though. The Electric Supercharger would be one of these !
