How far away would i be if i tried to put ed 5 speed into bf xr6?

doubt box could 'handle' much of the boost let alone ya right boot ... could be made to fit but $$$$$ coz ya BF is hydraulic clutch where as the ED is cable

Too short too... Extension housing got longer on AU boxes to move the shifter back further...

And if it has cruise it wont work again if the ratios on the gears are different to those of the BF... Might possibly also screw up your ABS... They pretty picky about what ratio goes into them... IE you can't put a non turbo 6 speed in a turbo 6 speed... 5th and 6th are different ratios between the two and the PCM gets upset...

And as mad said, you'll need to try and mount the hydraulic throwout bearing from the BF

Different bolt pattern on the bellhousing... too... You could probably use the bellhousing from the BF box but...

Not sure about the input and output spline counts either...
