maybe one of your door illumination switches is faulty, making the alarm think the door is open? motion sensors aimed to high catching things moving outside the car? faulty wiring in alarm? window not shut properly, air coming in setting of detectors? could be alot of things. possibly check all the switches that the alarm relies on for knowing if a door or such has been opened. adjust all necessary detectors and see if it helps. do you have a tilt switch on the car? could be faulty? for bonnet opening detection, a button is usually put in which is depressed when the bonnet is shut. is that still in place and functioning ok?

WE have ben ahving the same issue with ours this week with the heat.
Ours is the stupid amount of heat we are having in Sydney is causing the motion sensors to go off. Its fine until it gets absurdley hot then bang off it goes.

I fixed this problem with the Fairmont (BA MkII) I just bought. The alarm would just go off for no reason randomly. Sometimes it be fine for a couple of days, but then it would go off several times within a short period.
I found their was moisture inside both the remote locking keys. By "both" I mean the key that I mainly use, and also the spare key. It was a simple matter to open them up and clean out their insides with tissue paper. While I was at it I replaced each of the CR2032 disc batteries in the keys just in case. It seems the moisture was causing the remote to activate itself or something. Obviously 5 years later this is no help to the OP. But I'm posting it in case it helps someone else with the same problem. |
