On the weekend I changed over my cluster from a standard xt cluster to an xr cluster. everything works fine however I have suspicions about the Fuel Gauge and the DTE. Before the swap out the original cluster said that the tank was 3/4 full. After the swap the XR cluster said that it was closer to 1/2. I didn't think too much of it at the time so I went and filled up. the needles showed that the tank is FULL. I went for a country drive the next day and clocked up a little over 300kms. When I got home the Gauge read 1/2 full. Then today I drove about 10kms and I noticed that when I got back home the gauge was half way between 1/2 and 1/4. It just doesn't seem right to me. Any one got any ideas what my issue might be. I'm a little worried that I'm going to run out of fuel due to incorrect fuel gauge reading.

Fuel tank and sender are the same between XR and XT.

Have you put it into a XT wagon? From what i understand the calibration in the cluster is different for the wagon and ute tanks.
