I'm looking at putting a bf xr6t engine in my el,I have a lt10c which will control fuel and ignition. But it can't control the dvct, so how do I lock the cams? Can I keep the standard cam shafts or will I need atomic cams to be able to lock them?
Thanks

you dont need to lock them run them as they are.
why not also convert to the B series ecu?

But what will control them. Or once there's no wiring going to the dvct do they just stay in one position?
I already have the lt10c wired in tuned and running the sohc turbo engine. So it would be alot easier just to get the barra running with the lt10c rather than to cut and remove the lt10c and re wire in the ba /bf ecu.

they will stay in one position with no wiring, the engine is more tuneable with the b series ecu, but if you already have a a/m ecu fair enuf

Yeah I know the b series is better than the Microtech, but since I've already hacked at the EL loom to fit the Microtech it's going to be a nightmare pulling all the wiring out and trying to wire in the b series ecu.
If I was starting from scratch using a stock ef el I would go the b series ecu. Would the lt10c control it enough to make 300rwkw on a safe tune with the cams locked?

You either need some vernier cam gears or to modify some stuff on the stock cams and re position them. The VCT needs to be active for them to hold in the proper position
