1996 EL fairmont central locking not working

Post subject: 1996 EL fairmont central locking not working

Hey all, a friend of mine has just bought an el fairmont and the central locking doesnt work with either the remote or lock button on the dash. Using the key to lock/unlock the drivers door doesnt lock/unlock any other doors. Fuse isnt blown and remote works as boot still releases via remote. When i press lock button on the dash it makes a clicking noise like a relay clicking but nothing else happens. Any ideas?

Possibly the master actuator (that controls all the others) in the driver's door is shagged?

Does the fuel flap open when you press it's button ?
