Hi,
It has been happening in Falcon's for a long time. Still does, the GF has a BA same thing. When the EA came out the PS hose caused a few fires, so they fitted a shield of sorts. ( nearly 30 years ago ) A Metal plate would do the job for the Alternator, deflect the the leaking fluid, but still allow air flow for cooling. I might see what I can come up with for my BF, my EL is retired now.

Hi,
Ok, makes me feel better to know its not just my vehicle suffers from that. Let me know how you go with it, I'd like to do the same but would have to find somewhere to provide a good anchoring point and strong enough so that the plate does not wobble so to speak. |
