Hi, I purchased two remote pads the other day and have been trying to work out how one goes about getting them to tuned/ programmed to lock and unlock car doors and boot.
They were purchased via ebay. Does anyone know how this is done. My original remote is not the best as the cradle holding the battery to the circuit board has broken off. Thanks, Peter |

easy & make sure you have all remotes with you before hand
jump in car .. turn ignition to aux & turn radio off & then turn car off. turn ignition back to aux & within approx 5 seconds hit the rear window demister switch 3 times . IF you get the sequence right the door locks will cycle [ie doors lock/unlock, you may need to do this a 'few' times]. after the door locks cycle you will then need to hit the door lock button on 1st remote, the door locks should then lock/unlock. then do the same for the 2nd remote & 3rd/4th remotes [after doing 1st remote you then press 2nd remote, doors should cycle again & so on]. when finished learning remotes turn car off, hop outa car & lock with remote. all done |

@ Mad2,
Thanks for those instructions, only one problem, the Ford original radio has been removed and replaced with a different radio / cd player as it can play mp3 music files. I have no writing on the column where the key goes in. Is the aux position the next position up when key is turned? |

1st click after off, radio comes on but no reds on dash.
Aftermarket radio should present no issues, just follow Mad2's instructions. |

Mad2,
yeah, thought that would have been the case. Will be doing it Sunday arvo now, was going to do it this arvo but was out checking my pots for mud crabs. Only managed 2 keepers, rest were undersize bucks and 4 jennies, they were big ones too, unfortunately they cannot be kept in Qld. |
