Hi folks. replaced my ignition module today, and thought I might post how I did it:

1: remove air intake

2: remove air cleaner box

3: remove fans

4: relax serpentine belt tension, remove belt.

5: undo and lower aircon compressor
a) undo lower bolts first
b) undo top bolt

( NOTE: keep the lower bolts in the comp. housing, as they cannot be inserted with the compressor
in position)

6) lower compressor

You will now have access to the screws that hold the TFI unit in place, and you will not need to remove the dizzy. You will need a "stubby" Phillips head to get at the screw closest to the engine.
(Depending on the timing of the dizzy, the bracket that holds the inlet manifold may need to be removed)

When replacing the two screws that hold the unit on, a dab of grease on the head of the screw will hold the screw onto the screwdriver as you put it in place.

When replacing the aircon compressor, I found it best to put in the top blot first, loosely, replace the bottom bolts and spacers, and then do the top bolt and spacer.

Reverse the process. Took me 1 hr. and didn't have to re-time the dizzy 8-)

Hope this helps someone :)
