I've been running this length for many years without incident - the tensioner has around same travel either way. A new belt only just fits over the P/S pulley with the tensioner at min belt length. A 6PK2350 would be a tight fit I would think.6PK2350 fits nice. Ran that size on both the EF & EL Fairmonts. Motorcraft replacement part number is AJK6945 and they state the equivalent reference of 6PK2350. Bosch list the size as 6PK2370. So there appears to be a little mix is the suppliers reference to size. |

Whether or not the length is to spec with the respective belt is another thing too.

I am assuming that the size you are quoting refers to the shaft size? I really cannot see how .06 (.003") of a mm can make a huge difference, as the damper is only a slight interference fit anyway, and has a key-way as well. Maybe ask the salesman why the two are listed, or see if you can contact the manufacturer and ask? considering that the general rule for interference fits is a thou/inch .006mm would be a hell of a lot of an issue, considering the balancer normally is just fitted using it's own bolt and a ratchet they'd be size for size to maybe 0.02mm/0,001" interference |
