G'Day

I just replaced the fuel pump in the trusty old AU2. Originally had problems with the power connector being tight but managed to fit it. Went for a run and was hard to get up to 60k. Injectors have been replaced. Just wondering if there was a priming needed and how it's done. After the short 10 minute run, noticed a strange smell. Didn't smell electrical or oily, but something in between. Any info would be most appreciated.

Cheers
