Does anyone know if the diff and axles and such from a 6 cylinder NA LTD would work in an 8 cylinder NL ghia?

not 100% on this, but, the mounts are different i believe on diff. spacers can be done for EB/ED, but not sure on EF/EL. also handbrake setup is different on the NA compared to the NL [this part i'm 100% on lol]

Hmm yeah I forgot about the handbrake thing - EF/EL series had the shoes for the park brake as opposed to the lever on the back of the caliper operating the disc pads on the EA/EB/ED era yeah?
Okay, so is it possible to swap the diff internals, or are they completely different? |

NA Diffs may in fact also have a different Diff Flange.
you can swap the mount plates over and then swap the brakes over to the NA Diff fairly easily to get around the handbrake thing. Until 6/92, The Diffs had a narrower bush at the diff end of (I think) the lower control arm. You can work around that by replacing the rear bush. Nigel |
