Hi guys. Any help, before i have to sell the car.
Short version of story goes.
After fitting a hdi intercooler, i had to use the bf/fg single fan because of theyre s**t piping design.
Ever since i did that, when the fan comes on alternator noise comes through the icc unit.
Brand new battery, brand new alt, new belt, new idler pulleys.
(Not the speakers either, the actual unit emitts the whirring)
Has anyone had a noisy alternator issue too? How do i fix the damn thing.

It's static noise from the new fan, not the alternator.

I say this as you have said that it has only started to occur after fitting the single fan.

But the noise varys due to engine revs.
The fan spins at one speed

there's some sort of capacitor that needs ta be fitted to get rid that .... presume it gets fitted on the alt?

Tell me where to buy one, and i will.
