I've bought a sub, hopefully will be arriving soon so I'll be sure to take snaps along the way when it goes in :)

You going to be running line converters, or an aftermarket head unit?
If you go head unit, definitely take snaps on how you did it lol
I got everything I need for an install, just not sure on how to go about it with the FG... The BA was fine as everything fit nicely.

Wow, I knew I'd been slack but it's been literally years since my last update :| sorry guys!

Sadly nothing exciting to report, the G6E is still ticking along nicely - it's now done about 148k and has treated me very well over the last few years with the exception of a temperamental sunroof and a non-functioning reverse camera (both of which have only come up in the last week), but I'll get the camera looked at when I take it in for the 150k service.

I got an 8" Pioneer sub to replace the factory parcel-shelf mounted unit shortly after my last post, and installed that using the factory amp and wiring. I did have to drill 2 holes in the outer frame of the sub so I could use the factory mounting holes/screws but it was otherwise easy. It does rattle however and I've been too lazy to Dynamat it; I plan to do this at some stage.

I also replaced the rear door speakers with some slightly better ones - using the original mounting basket I just cut the old speakers out and screwed the new ones in. It meant I could use the factory speaker connectors and didn't have to mess with spacers or anything. It wasn't the prettiest solution but it's worked fine. I also bought replacement front speakers but have not fitted them yet.

The EF has been with my sister for about 2 1/2 years now, she still drives it (almost) daily and it too is ticking along fine at 285k. It needs work (brakes, exhaust leak, parking scrapes) but has been reliable as ever.

Both my younger brothers are now driving, and both own Blue Pearl BAs (one XT and one Ghia). The XT cost me $500 from an old school friend and only had 176k on the clock (purchased Sept '14). It needed an ABS pump, windscreen and some suspension bits for RWC and is probably the best value purchase I've ever made. Courtesy of my mod-happy brother it now has an XR6 interior & wheels, catback, body coloured mirrors/mouldings, new speakers/amp/sub and as of this weekend, a new intake manifold gasket. It's come up really nicely and he absolutely loves it!

The Ghia was purchased last year for $3000 with 156k - unfortunately it needed a bit of work for RWC even though it passed a blue slip in NSW, but it's a beauty to drive and to look at.

I'll grab some photos when I'm on a computer but there ya go - an update on the last 2 years!!
