I am a "she" , and that's what one mechanic suggested, a timing chain issue. He thinks it sounds like the car is trying to find the right revs.
Plus, my fuel consumption hasn't changed, which the o2 sensor would affect am i right?

Your "mechanic"... is no mechanic at all, by the sounds of it!. F@#ken imbecile... thats what he is. First thing he should have done is hook up a scan tool to check for fault codes and see what the computer is doing. Was it also his idea to throw all those new parts onto the car??

You need to have it put on a scan tool so you can check all the pids. It could be as simple as an oil control valve sticking, and you have one camshaft advanced and one retarded.
