This one is now confusing me, I'm now resorting to asking the experts around here

So my NF Fairlane has had symptoms of a faulty BCM since i got it, None of the electrics work -

Antenna button does nothing
Door lock button does nothing
Boot Unlock button does nothing
Fuel flap button turns the courtesy door lights on... Only at the front....????
Demister does not appear to work (nothing happens)
Cruise button does work
Climate control does work
When attempting to central lock the car with button.. It does not cycle the locks, and instead beeps the horn at me 3-4 times rapidly, and the indicators flash

So a while ago i posted a photo of some burnt bits i found on the BCM board, and was advised to replace the BCM

I have not done so yet HOWEVER my brother in law recently acquired a NF Fairlane of his own for the purpose of using it as a beater. Today he attempted sticking my BCM in his car (awaiting 30 mins with accessories on beforehand) and found all his electronics DO work as they should. However it wont start or even attempt to start..

WTF?

Did the Doorlocks Cycle?

Takes longer than 30mins with high series.

How long is it roughly? 60 mins? I have his working BCM now so i can have a go at that.

It goes on Accessories or Reds?

Open Drivers side window.

Turn off all accesories ie Radio etc.

Close the door and turn the ignition to Reds.

Can take up to 60 mins with a high series BCM

When complete the door locks will cycle.

Turn off ignition and then start the car.

You will also need to reprogram your remotes.

As per usual, Saving my a** SWC... Buttons are doing what they are meant to be doing now. Well most of them.. Looks like the electric aerial is probably seized but meh.. Radio works fine. I can access my fuel flap (horray)..

Only problem really left is my door lock button is cycling the locks (On the keyfob or with the button on the dash) it just locks, unlocks, locks again.

About to go investigate further as i continue repairing the neglect from previous owner but I'm guessing this will be a lock actuator is stuffed somewhere?

Do they make rebuild kits for them or nah? I hear they do for BAs is all.

No rebuild kits for the door actuators but you can buy new ones.

Does the aerial work at all?

Try spraying some WD40 down the mast.

Could be a stuffed mast which you can buy replacements for.
