Bought my daughter 1996 ef Gli falcon as her first car and first ford. Very well maintained low milage owned by 90 year lady which only accumulated 57,000km in last 16 years. Driving this vehicle is nice and no noise but has a distinct body roll particulary in cornering and feels like the rear area, from what i can tell is factory suspension. i also want to upgrade the suspension for better towing (horse float). Any advice, products and recommended mechanics in south east Queensland (Ipswich - Toowoomba) would definitely help this single mum.

Stock EF GLi come factory with body roll .
If towing a horse float, would suggest the following; 1) Heavy duty springs. 2) Heavy duty shocks. 3) Hayman Reesee Heavy Duty Tow Bar. (What weight is the Horse Float?) 4) Transmission Oil Cooler. 5) Check all Suspension Bushes. |

Hi SWC,
Thank you for the advice. Hayman Reese are awesome, have one on my Tonner ute, so got the towbar sorted. I get the body roll came factory but is there anyway to improve that or will that come by doing the the heavy duty spring/shocks etc upgrade? Cheers |

Body roll is probably got worse with age due to the springs and aging of the shocks.
Upgraded springs and shocks/struts will help with the body roll. If you need more then I suggest looking at upgraded aftermarket sway bars front & rear. |
