Hi has anyone put a toploader into an XE Falcon. If you have done this , how did you make it compatible with the electric speedo drive. at a glance into the extension housing the drive cogs in a toploader and single rail look the same but when I put speedo drive into toploader all it does is chew teeth off the end of the speedo drive cog. done it twice. (they are 4 speed single rail drives not auto)

Toploader is compatible with all XD onwards speedo senders - and has a correct gear to suit also. I believe the same gear that works in prior models (XC etc) works.

The Electronic Senders are the same at the gearbox end and therefore compatible. I had one in my XD in the 90's with no converters needed

Hi I went ahead and brought a toploader cog with correct number of teeth for my diff ratio ect and when it turned up I instantly recognised that it was smaller in diameter than the single rail cogs looks the same but different size. That's the reason I have been chewing up cogs. Unfortunately even though I got the cog sorted the speedo still Won't work. whats the list of possibilities to check and Is there any simple tests I can do to eliminate the possibilities ????
