Hey guys I have a turbo el falcon and looking at getting it dyno tuned. I have found a wolf 3D v4 for $400 it comes with the plug adapter for my loom already pinned out to a el plug and a hand controller aswell. I comes already tuned for a na ford. I know I will need to get it retuned but that's the part I'm not fussed about.

My question is it worth paying the $400 for it and getting it dyno tuned for around the $400 mark. Or should I just buy a j3 chip for $90?

I only want to push around the 250rwkw mark at the moment.

Also what benefits will I get from the standalone conpaired to the j3 chip?

a GOOD aftermarket ecu will give you a host of features that the std ecu wont provide, which is somewhat essential for a boosted setup
ie:
- datalogging and realtime tuning / dashboard display
- wideband tuning and closed loop fueling
- multiple fuel and timing maps
- mappable boost control
- launch control
- 2 step - 3 step rpm limiter
- engine protection - over boost and AFR engine protection
- option to go to flex fuel for e85

So I won't get any of them with the j3 chip?

Will the wolf 3d v4 give me all of them options?

With a Full House DIY Tuning Kit you will get:
- realtime data logging with dashboard display,
- wideband tuning,
- closed loop fuelling (this is factory),
- multiple switchable fuel and timing maps,
- the ability to do your own tuning
and more.

If you are aiming for 250rwkw, a well tuned J3 Chip will be more than sufficient for your needs and probably save you a lot of cash to put towards making the rest of the system reliable, ie. quality injectors, fuel pump, good heat shielding etc.

Happy to answer any questions if you have any!

Cheers,
Jason
