Hi Everyone !
I need yours help. 3 month ago I bought Ford Falcon BA XT from 2005 year. Everything was ok till last week when I started to hear some wierd noises from the bottom of car, just below driver. On the begining I thought that my exhaust has some loose because problem occur mostly when I put on the D or R, but it was also a little bit heard on neutral gear. I checked the car and all exhaust holders was ok, but I found that driveshaft central bearing (this with the rubber around) is damaged. I bought new one and unfortunately after change of the part I started to have arising vibration above 70km/h. This is not enought, I also have the same noises what was before with the car. Our next step will be change of the U-joint which is just next to the bearing but I not sure that it will solve the problem because part looks ok. I would be grateful if anybody could support me with this issue or maby you know some good mechanic with driveshaft and falcon experience in Perth. Kind regards, Bartosz |

Cant recommend mechanic in w.a im in vic. But check the rear uni, also look at uni/ dampening block at the back of the transmission. Also check the front wheel hubs, to do this jack car up, one side at a time if its easier, grab top and bottom of wheel and see if there is any movement (push top inwards and pull bottom outwards then reverse procedure) do that a couple of times on each side, if there is movement then that could be your problem. Noise travels in weird ways in a car so where you think the noise is more often than not its in a totally different place.
