hi
has anyone on here used chemiweld and how did you apply it whats chemiweld like compared to liquid intelligence have a ef fairmont that had a blown head gasket no water in oil or anything just rough idle and blowing steam out exhaust and pressure in coolant tank whats a small bit of water or moisture in exhaust pipe now and then mean would chemiweld fix it atleast for a while if directions are followed as nulon has so far and someone tried chemiweld for a similar thing and it fixed it and someone else tried it and it worked so well that they never bothered fixing it had a ed fairmont that blew head gasket on outside and blew water out radiator and tried chemiweld in that and took it off road nearly 2 years later and only had to do a small redose because radiator was replaced |

Things like Chemiweld are really only a temporary fix at best. Sometimes they can cause more problems down the track when you eventually fix the real problem.
I would advise against using such a product long term. Best to fix the problem properly first time. |

Best to fix the problem properly first time. +1 if ya going to do the job do it properly the first time,its been awhile since i done one but should cost ya less than 150 for the gasket and studs assuming the head isnt cracked and or warped dont re use the studs/bolts there TTY (torque to yield) IF your going to do it half assed it will never be like a 70000km car and you may not make it to the pub to find a root, you wont make it to prospect road either

wouldn't suggest it. clogs more than it fixes. go with creeture3's way of thinking.

will be eventually getting a au engine just wondered anyone elses thoughts
had chemiweld in a ed fairmont replaced radiator and didnt have any real trouble after and got nearly 2 years out of it. local repco recon you should get 12 months or more our of it |

I had a coolant leak years ago on EFII Ghia typical leak towards the back of the head gasket, never any other symptoms like pressurised tank or oil in coolant just headgasket leak. I used chemiweld over the next 3 years and eventually replced the headgasket with an AU one.
personally your head gasket is rooted any way might as well give it a go. cant make it any worse. there are products that clean your system pretty good these days or replace the radiator when you replace the motor.
