Last friday my car stopped suddenly
I thought it was the induction coil which had failed in 2011. Had to get the car towed to my home because no garage would take it on Fridays. I tested the coil and it worked. There was no signal at the terminals. I checked with a noid light the injectors and they worked fine. So the culprit had to be the TFI module. Reading around I decided to order the whole dizzy, because to remove the TFI it's almost impossibnle without removing or changing the position of the dizzy. I managed to install the dizzy. I set the crankshaft on Top Dead Centre and dropped it in the position it was (I think). I started the car and it just spattered. I turned the dizzy counterclockwise and it started but the dizzy is on the maximum anticlockwise turning position. The car runs well but I want to tune itr properly. Can any of you Ford gurus give me a hand....? |

well this is one of the problems. I went online and got the one that could be despatched the fastest. I bought it oin ebay and it was delivered next day. It is a chinese one. It is nowhere as well built as the Bosch original. So I was going to recondition the old one and replace the TFI module which has blown . This way I have another dizzy when it happens again...
PS I paid $109 with next day delivery |

Did you switch the drive gear over from the old dizzy to the new one?
If not, do it asap. |

Why are you suggesting this? there's a VERY good chance that IF you don't swap ya old dizzy drive to the new one ..... you WILL destroy the AUX shaft ... & then need a new motor |

The drive gear in the end of the dizzy shaft.
Using the gear that came with the Ebay dizzy may result in stripping the teeth on the AUX Shaft. Do this and you will have metal through the motor. |
