I replaced all 4 shocks in my EL XR6 with a set of current generation Monroe GT sport shocks. They had only done 20,000 kms in a friends ef fairmont and drove perfectly but after i installed them in my xr (using my original springs) my csr still bottoms out over speed bumps and at high speed on the open road.
I'd find it hard to believe it was the shocks as i drove my friends car several times prior to them being removed and t didn't have this issue. if its not the shocks whats the likleyhood the springs have sagged? |

Did you have these problems prior to changing the shocks?
It sounds like the springs are not doing their job. Have you got an automotive spring manufacturer/reconditioner near you? You could get them retempered and ask them tor retain the XR ride height, or buy some new springs.
