Forscan will do keys but not stereos or instrument clusters if you change them over..

Clusters dont need programming when changed over in the BA/BF's. if your talking about changing the Km on them its not possible after the cluster has over 100km on it without eeprom reads via a removed chips.

Stereos can be done in forscan i have done 2 of them

Can you tell me how you did it in forscan as i've looked and couldn't find anything..from what i undersatnd the BA icc needs to be programmed with the new engine/vin number or something..as for the instrument cluster was told if you put a XR or high end instrument cluster in to a BA XT you have to recalabrate the speedo as the needle will be out a bit

Ok using forscan, I'm asuming you have the extended license, once loaded and its done its load up scan go to service procedures down the Left hand side tool bar click on that then go to ACM Calibration in the list click on that and then press the "play" button down the bottom. might ask a question cant remember right now (and only looked just before) but you then click the ok it scrolls through a blue bar down the bottom from memory takes less than 30 seconds then gives you a message saying if it all worked properly or not.

Icc is just matching to the BCM for its "security code" IIRC

as for the cluster im fairly certain that you wont have any trouble with the speedo as the messages are sent over the CANBUS, if you have a GPS just confirm it by checking the Cluster to your GPS. should be within 5Km allowing for margin of errors

Is it the same process as above when fitting a new BEM?

Have you tried coding keys? I only have 1 key atm and am scared to try it myself.

I haven't tried to program keys yet but will need to at some stage in the future, but from what i know you need 2 keys to program the BEM..so if you only have one key you will need to get another key cut.
