I've recently purchased a 2000 AU Fairlane. I wanted to replace the original premium Sound system with a modern radio that has Bluetooth, IPhone compatible etc. I purchased with the radio all the recommended connectors to try and make it an easy installation. Using the connectors (except the CD stacker connector as they don't sell one for that) the radio works through the front speakers and the antenna goes up and down; however, the rear speakers do not work at all.
After following wires and having a look at a wiring diagram it seems the rear speakers work through the rear amplifier. There are no speaker wires from the radio that go to the amp, it appears the rear amp receives its data through the two audio connectors on top of the amp or through the CD stacker connection. I've checked with a multi meter, the rear Amp has power going to it. How do I get the rear speakers to work. Do I need to find the other end of the audio connectors from the amp which might be on the CD connector and fit plugs and plug it into the rear of the radio (Aux output). Cheers, |
