Hi,

I was just about to go to sleep and the car horm decided to make itself known by blowing / sounding continually until I disconnected the negative battery cable.

I tried using the remote prior to disconnecting the battery, the remote failed to stop the horn.

Has anyone else had this experience or have an idea as to how the horn would blow without human interference?

Does anyone know if this can be pulled apart so I can gain access to fix the problem.

There are 6 nuts, 3 sided nut.

Although Probably safe to do,(airbags have a shorting bar between the pins when the connector is removed) i likely still wouldn't just in case something went wrong and sent the airbag off and flying into the face. i would probably grab a good one from a wrecker or something

Thanks for your reply. It does look tricky to pull apart, what a waste in this throw away society we live in.

Problem is with obtaining another unit from a wrecker is the question that's in the back of one's mind

"How good / reliable is this one I wonder"

Getting a good one is the key. Back to the wreckers I go.
