I have a fairmont 2000 au2. Air conditioning has been worked on a month ago by a air conditioning professional. New fan, new inline filter and regassed. It pumps out cool air fine in the city traffic, as lots of stops and starts. On long country trips where the engine speed remains at 2000 revs, the cool air cuts out after 3 mins approx. If I want cool air when driving 100kms an hour, I place the transmission in neutral, engine revs drops to idle, back into drive and the air conditioning starts pumping cool air. Any suggestions on faults most welcome.
